RVRN VIP STORY

YOUR STORY MATTERS

Editor's Note

Before IconiQ, there was the field, the locker room, the fraternity house. Octavis Long has spent his life inside teams — and he knows what brotherhood looks like. When 35 club cars rolled into the Earvin Johnson Sr. Car Show and every single member showed up, he didn't need anyone to explain what IconiQ is. He already knew.

Octavis L. & 2007 Corvette C6

01

Team Has Always Been Everything

An exclusive interview with our featured VIP
Before IconiQ, there was the field. The locker room. The fraternity house. Octavis L. has spent his life inside teams — an athlete at every level, a fraternity brother, a man for whom brotherhood isn't a word, it's a way of living.

So when someone asks what IconiQ means to him personally, he doesn't need long to think about it.

It's family. For me, this connection is key. I've always been an athlete, so team has always been important to me. I'm also in a fraternity, so brotherhood is a part of my life. ICONIQ is an extension to everything else I do.

Three words for the atmosphere? Family. Diversity. Fun. In that order. The car might be what gets you through the door — but what keeps you coming back is the people standing next to it.

Meet "Toy"

An exclusive interview with our featured VIP
His 2007 Corvette C6 goes by one name: Toy. The nickname came from his wife, Lynette — and it stuck immediately. Simple, affectionate, and completely fitting for a car that exists to be enjoyed.

On modifications, Octavis keeps it open — the club has no unspoken rules, no pressure. We have freedom to do anything or nothing to our vehicles. Everyone is accepted.

His own vision for dream wheels? Black accessories. Clean, bold, no negotiation on the color.

Inside the club, inspiration moves naturally — members talk products, share experiments, compare builds. Several creative minds constantly pushing each other forward without anyone needing to be told to.

35 Cars. One Moment.

An exclusive interview with our featured VIP
Octavis has been to plenty of car events. But one moment in particular hasn't left him — standing at the Earvin Johnson Sr. Car Show in August 2025, looking out and counting IconiQ cars in the field. Thirty-five of them. Every member had shown up.

Seeing 35 club members and cars at the Earvin Johnson Sr. Car Show in August 2025 — it was a tremendous show of support. That moment said everything about who we are as a club.

His passion for cars started early — always a car enthusiast, drawn first to vintage and classics, until a few Corvettes caught his eye and shifted everything. The new innovation and technology keep him excited today. Cars, he'll tell you, don't stop evolving. Neither does the community around them.

What he hopes for the club years from now? Not just a great car club.
A great community-based organization that expands its reach beyond cars. Something that matters to Lansing long after the engines go quiet.

04

Iconic for Lansing

The 2026 IconiQ car show is coming — and Octavis isn't thinking about the cars, the show field, or even the production. What excites him is the reach. The fact that this event is drawing nationwide attention to Lansing, Michigan.

The exposure we're getting nationwide — it's going to be Iconic for the Lansing community. That's what this is really about.

His hope for anyone who joins the club in their first year: get to know the members, show up to the monthly meetings, plug into the community service.

Let the people do what the people always do in IconiQ — pull you in and make you feel like you were always supposed to be there.

Thank you again for your trust and collaboration. RVRN is committed to growing together with our partners and delivering outstanding products and value.
