Mickey M. had wanted a Corvette since he was a child. After owning a 2009 C6, he spotted a yellow 2016 C7 and fell in love instantly. It was beautiful, it performed beautifully — and it deserved wheels that matched. But Mickey wasn't sure what style he wanted. That's when Ricky at RVRN stepped in.

Ricky walked Mickey through every detail of the design process, from the two-piece Frozen Gold finish that pops against the yellow paint, to the custom Corvette-inscribed center caps. The result? A set of wheels so striking that on day one, a Porsche driver pulled up beside him at a red light and asked him to pull over just to take pictures.

Opening: A Lifelong Corvette Dream

What first drew you to the 2016 Corvette?

I've wanted to own a Corvette since I was a child. I had a 2009 previously, and when I saw this 2016 C7 in yellow, I immediately fell in love. It's just a beautiful car and it performs beautifully.

How does the Corvette fit into your lifestyle?

It's a pleasure vehicle. I drive my truck during the week, but I drive the Corvette almost every day. Everybody that sees it loves it — especially since I've put the RVRN rims on it. It gives me lots of confidence.

Before RVRN, what were your expectations for your wheels?

The whole experience with RVRN was outstanding. I really wasn't sure what style of rims I wanted, but I spoke with Ricky and he coached me through the whole process. We designed the rims together and they came out beautifully.

How did you first learn about RVRN? What made you choose us?

I found them on Facebook. I looked at a few other producers but when I tried to make contact, I had lots of problems. When I got in touch with Ricky, it was a completely different process. Anytime I had a question, Ricky would respond within a minute — even early in the morning. He was always available.

When selecting your RVRN wheels, which detail caught your eye first?

The material, the finish, and the color. It's a two-piece rim — if I ever want to, I can interchange the spokes to chrome. Right now they're Frozen Gold, and the gold against my yellow car really, really jumps. The colors are outstanding.

Did you have any custom requests for your wheels?

I had the RVRN insignia custom-made, and I had 'Corvette' on the wheel caps. Ricky spent time with me looking at the design and gave me recommendations. I'm very pleased with how it all turned out.

What did you notice first after installing your RVRN wheels?

Ricky said the handling might change, but it didn't. He made sure we went over and over to get the right fit. And the appearance — drastically changed. The first day, I pulled up to a red light and a guy in a Porsche next to me asked if I'd pull over so he could take pictures. I was pretty pleased — they got a Porsche doing that!

Have there been moments where your RVRN wheels exceeded expectations?

When I take it to club meetings or gatherings, they immediately attract attention. As soon as I get to any kind of gathering, everybody comes to look at the rims.

How do people react when they see your car?

They always ask where they come from. I explain the process — that they come from Germany — and everyone really, really likes them. I recommend RVRN to anybody that comes and talks about it.

If you could describe RVRN in one sentence to a fellow Corvette owner, what would you say?

It's an outstanding product, outstanding quality, and outstanding customer service.

What features would you love to see in RVRN's future collections?

I've previewed most of the rims you have — I really think you have everything covered. I don't have any suggestions. Everything you do is great.

Is there anything we haven’t covered about your RVRN experience that you’d like to share?

I'm just very impressed with you, with Ricky, and the whole RVRN experience.
