Precision Fitment for the SF90 Platform
The 2022 Ferrari SF90 represents a fusion of hybrid performance engineering and aggressive aerodynamic design. Matching such a platform requires a wheel setup that complements both its visual intensity and mechanical sophistication.
For this build, RVRN Wheels developed a fully custom RV-MF16 forged monoblock configuration, precisely engineered in a staggered setup of 20x9.5 +30MM for the front and 20x11.5 +25MM for the rear. This configuration ensures optimal clearance, enhanced traction distribution, and a more assertive stance that aligns with the SF90’s performance geometry.
The concave structure further emphasizes the car’s wide-body proportions, creating a visually planted and performance-oriented aesthetic.
Engineering a True Concave Monoblock Profile
The RV-MF16 is built as a one-piece forged wheel, prioritizing structural rigidity while minimizing unnecessary mass. This manufacturing method allows for tighter grain structure in the aluminum, resulting in improved strength-to-weight ratio—critical for high-performance applications like the SF90.
A key design focus in this project is the concave geometry. Unlike flat or mild profiles, the deep concave curvature enhances brake clearance while also redistributing load forces more efficiently across the spokes. This contributes to both durability and dynamic stability under high-speed conditions.
Additionally, the spoke layout is engineered to maintain visual depth without compromising airflow, supporting brake cooling during aggressive driving.
Carbon Fiber Integration Meets Gloss Black Depth
One of the defining characteristics of this setup is the use of carbon fiber wrapped lips and spokes. This is not merely an aesthetic upgrade—it also contributes to weight reduction while reinforcing structural areas subject to higher stress.
The contrast between the carbon fiber elements and the gloss black barrel creates a layered visual effect. Under varying lighting conditions, the carbon weave introduces subtle reflections, while the gloss black finish anchors the overall look with depth and clarity.
