1968 Ford Galaxie 500 on RVRN Forged RV-T081
The 1968 Galaxie 500 is a full-size American classic — long, uninterrupted body lines and generous wheel arches that can carry a large-diameter wheel without ever looking overdone. Keith's build runs a staggered RVRN RV-T081 setup: 22x9 up front and 22x10.5 at the rear, machined to a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a polished aluminum spoke, polished aluminum barrel and chrome screws.
What makes the RV-T081 the right choice here is the 2-piece build. Because the center and the barrel are forged separately, RVRN can set lip depth and offset axle by axle — -30MM on the front, +6MM on the rear for this Galaxie — so the wheel actually fills the arch with the deep, steady lip these cars were always asking for, instead of the shallow face a single-piece wheel forces you into. Every set starts from aerospace-grade 6061-T6 forged aluminum and is machined to this specific vehicle, not pulled off a shelf.
Keith wanted a lip that reads properly — three to four inches minimum — and he chose polished aluminum over chrome. On a white car, polished gives that deep mirror shine without the hard, overdone look chrome brings, and it lets the Galaxie keep the clean, factory-correct attitude that made these cars timeless in the first place. He liked the result enough to order a matching set for his 2022 GMC Denali.
